Rolling Capelin Vase

I made this vase with a glossy red rim and an earthy, marbled body that gives it a strong, lively presence.

The narrow neck works well for flowers, dried stems, or grasses, and the shape has enough character to stand on its own. It is a useful vase, but it also carries the feeling of movement and shoreline colour.

This is handmade stoneware, made one piece at a time in my Newfoundland studio.
